Poem. Who knew lizards would make good friends with polar bears? A.R

Igloo dwellers welcomed us with waffles

I ate and the meal was good

Yeah, I still worried

I mean, wouldn’t you if your body was that

Of a lizard, long and green like a spinach leaf

But the meal made me feel okay

The igloo dwellers, polar bears on ice

Cooked and cooked without burning

their homes down

The waffles were amazing

And then I felt the light coming through

The door hatch

I needed a shave, a restful day and more waffles

The key in the light of the window

Isn’t something you have to see.
