is such a fantastic collection of poetry, I don’t know where to start. It truly is a joy to receive an ARC copy of one of his books every now and then.
Gary Beck writes about events that are happening now in an unfussy way and without diluting his verses with his own opinions.
I love in poem Companions he writes of the fear we all, I am sure, share at what we see on the news: Murders, suicide bombings and natural disasters. There are poems on child soldiers, the Russians and Iraq. Light at The End Of …

Gary Beck has spent most of his adult life as a theater director, and as an art dealer when he couldn’t make a living in theater. He has 12 published chapbooks and 3 more accepted for publication.
